Section 50

Powers of Local Government and its officers over boards.

(1) It shall be the duty of the Local Government and of all Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners acting under its orders to require that the proceedings of district boards and local boards shall be in conformity with law and with the rules in force thereunder. (2) The Local Government may exercise all powers necessary for the purpose of sub-section (1) , and may, amongst other things, by order in writing, annul any proceeding which it considers not to be in conformity with law and with the said rules. (3) The Commissioner of the division and the Deputy Commissioner of the district may, within their jurisdiction, for the same purpose, exercise such .powers as may be conferred upon them by rules made in this behalf by the Local Government.
