(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, an offence ; punishable under sub-section (i) of section 18 shall be cognizable (2) No court shall take cognizance of an offence punishable under sub-section (2) of section 18 except on a complaint made in writing by the fair officer of any other officer not below the rank of a Gazetted officer authorised by the Deputy Commissioner in this behalf. (3) An offence punishable under sub-section (2) of section 18 may be tried in a summary manner. Composition
