On and with effect from the date of commencement of this Act, the Government may, by notification, merge any committee or board, functioning on the matters relating to industries with the Bureau. Upon such merger, the functions hitherto being performed and the powers being exercised by such committees or boards, as the case may be, shall vest in the Bureau.
