1926 : Pb. Act XI 1 BORSTAL 167 against such sentence or order within the time prescribed by law and when by reason of such person's criminal habits or tendencies or association with persons of bad character it is expedient, in the opinion 0-f the District Magistrate, that he should be detained, the District Magistrate may order that such person shall in lie11 of undergoing imprisonment be detained for a period not less than two years nor morc than three years.
