(1) Where by virtue of the foregoing provisions of this Chapter, a Map and a Register are to be prepared then --- (a) if within the period prescribed or within such period which the Government has extended, no Map or Register has been prepared; or (b) if at any time the Government is satisfied that the Planning Authority is not taking steps necessary to prepare such a Map and Register within that period, the Government may direct the Senior Town Planner to prepare the Map and the Register.
