The powers and functions of the Controller of Examinations shall be,- (1) to prepare and announce in advance the Academic Calendar and schedule of examinations; The Controller of Examinations. Functions of the Controller of Examinations. 274 LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT [PART–II (2) to conduct examinations; (3) to arrange for the setting up of question papers with strict regard to secrecy; (4) to arrange for evaluation and re-evaluation of answer scripts and declaration and publication of results of all the examinations and tests within the prescribed schedule; (5) to review the system of examinations in order to enhance the level of impartiality and objectivity; (6) to postpone or cancel examination, in part or in whole, in the event of malpractices or if, the circumstances so warrant, and take disciplinary action or initiate any civil or criminal proceedings against any person or a group of persons or a College or an Institution alleged to have committed malpractices; (7) to take disciplinary action wherever necessary against the candidates, paper setters, examiners, moderators, or any other persons connected with the examinations and found guilty of malpractices in relation to the examinations; (8) to review from time to time, the results of University examinations and forward reports thereon to the Academic Council; (9) perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by the Vice-Chancellor or the Board of Governors from time to time.
