Subject to the provisions of this Act and of the rules framed thereunder, the Government shall have power to give aid to an industrial business or enterprise in one or more of the following ways:- (a) by granting a loan; (b) by paying a subsidy for the conduct of research or for the purchase of implements or machinery or for any other specific purpose; (c) by subscribing for shares or debentures; (d) by making a grant on favourable terms of land, raw material, firewood or water, which is the property of the Government; (e) by supplying at concessional rates electric energy from a source which is the property of the Government.
