Opening and closing hours. – (1) Save as provided by or under any other enactment for the time being in force, no establishment shall on any day be opened earlier or closed later than such hour as may be fixed by the Government by general or special order in that behalf. (2) Before passing an order under sub-section (1), the Government shall make an inquiry in the prescribed manner. (3) The Government may, for the purposes of this section fix different hours for different establishments or different classes of establishments or for different areas or for different times of the year.
