No scheme of planning of new residential areas or of improvement of existing areas shall be approved or executed by a local authority unless the scheme is in accordance with the rules made under this Act and also makes suitable provisions in respect of the following matters, namely: -- (a) water supply to the inhabitants of the area for drinking and other purposes; (b) drainage and sewage disposal including the provision of public sanitary conveniences; (c) places for the disposal of carcasses of animals; and (d) burning and burial grounds. 65 Building regulations
