(1) The Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, constitute as many appellate authorities as may be necessary for the purposes of this Act. (2) Each appellate authority shall consist of a sole member who shall be a judicial officer not below the rank of a Subordinate Judge or an officer not below the rank of a Deputy Collector.
