(1) This Act may be called the Puducherry Housing Board Act, 1973. (2) It extends to the whole of the Union territory of Puducherry. +(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint: Provided that different dates may be appointed for different regions of the Union territory of Puducherry and any reference in this Act to the commencement of this Act shall, in relation to any region, means the date on which this Act comes into force in that region.
