Definitions. – In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context --- (1) “Homoeopathy” means the system of medicine founded by Dr. Hahnemann and the expression “Homoeopathic” shall be construed accordingly; (2) “Practitioner” means a person who practices the Homoeopathic system of medicine in accordance with the provisions of this Act; (3) “Government” means the Administrator of the Union territory of Puducherry appointed under Article 239 of the Constitution. + This Act came into force w.e.f 19.05.1965 436
