(1) This Act may be called the Puducherry Ground Water (Control and Regulation) Act, 2002. (2) It shall extend to the whole of the Union Territory of Puducherry. +(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the official gazette, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different areas in the Union Territory of Puducherry.
