(1) A chemist, druggist, apothecary or keeper of a dispensary, who allows any intoxicant which has not been bona fide medicated for medicinal purposes to be consumed on his business premises, by any person shall, on conviction, be punished *[with rigorous imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than one month but which may extend to one year and with fine which shall not be less than ten thousand rupees but which may extend to one lakh rupees]. (2) Any person not employed as aforesaid, who consumes any such intoxicant on such premises shall on conviction, be punished with fine *[which shall not be less than two thousand rupees but which may extend to twenty thousand rupees].
