Repeal and saving – (1) As from the commencement of this Act, any law in force in the Union territory including the Ordinances, Decrees and Arretes specified in the Schedule in so far as it makes provisions for the matters covered by this Act, shall stand repealed. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in the foregoing provisions, the constitution and organisation of Courts under this Act shall not prejudicially affect the continued operation of any notice served, injunction issued, direction made or proceedings taken before the commencement of this Act by any court under the powers conferred upon it by any law for the time being in force.
