If any question arises regarding the interpretation of any provision of any regulation made under section 46 or section 47, the matter may be referred by the Board to the Government for decision and in such circumstances, the decision of the Government shall be final. ______ STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS FOR ACT NO.8 OF 2004 Presently, the educational institutions in the four regions of the Union Territory of Puducherry are affiliated to the respective Boards of the neighbouring States of Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. As a result, there is no uniformity in curriculum and standard of education. To overcome this problem, it is proposed to set up an independent Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in the Union Territory of Puducherry.
