(1) This Act may be called the Puducherry Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Act, 2003. (2) It extends to the whole of the Union territory of Puducherry. † (3) This section shall come into force at once; and the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force on such dates as the Government may, by notification appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and reference to the provision thereof shall be construed as a reference to the date on which that provision comes into force.
