Where the term of office of the members of a market committee has expired and the Director is of the opinion that it is not practicable to reconstitute the market committee forthwith, he may, by notification, extend the term of office of the members of the market committee for a further period or periods not exceeding two years in the aggregate or until the market committee is reconstituted, whichever is earlier.
