[(1) Subject to such rules as may be made by the, Government in this behalf, every member of the Legislative Assembly including the Ministers, the Speaker, the Deputy Speaker, the Leader of the Opposition and the Chief Whip shall be entitled to be Insured for an amount not exceeding two lakhs rupees at the expense of the Government against accidents or other infirmities as may be specified in this behalf caused to him during his tenure as Member of the Legislative Assembly, the Minister, the Speaker, the Deputy Speaker, the Leader of the Opposition and the Chief Whip, as the case may be. (2) In the case of Ministers, the Speaker, the Deputy Speaker, the Leader of the Opposition and the Chief Whip, the insurance provided in sub-section (1) shall be in addition to the accident insurance provided in section 5B].
