(1) This Act may be called The Part B States (Laws) Act, 1951. (2) It shall come into force on such date* as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. 1st April, 1951, vide notification No. S.R.O. 312, dated 7th March, 1951, see Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, sec. 3.
