(1) There shall be a Quality Assurance Council in the University for periodic examination of the academic standards, democratic functioning and social commitment of the affiliated institutions and the university. (2) Subject to the provisions of this Act, The Constitution, powers and functions of the Quality Assurance Council and its procedures shall be as prescribed by the Statutes.
