(1) There shall be a Board of Studies for every subject or group of subjects, as may W . of Studies. be prescribed by the Statutes. 3 (2) The Board of Studies shall consist of,— | (a) two persons from amongst the Heads of Departments in affiliated institutions, other than Principals, having not less than ten years teaching experience, ¥ nominated by the Vice-Chancellor ; LI (b) two post graduate teachers having not less than ten years of teaching | experience from among the teachers of Government colleges, one of them preferably a woman nominated by the Vice-Chancellor; (c) two eminent persons to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor, who are— | j (i) either Professors or Associate Professors in other Universities ; or i : (i) persons with relevant experience of not less than ten years in national laboratories or research institutions or recognized institutions; or — Ty T 5 o s T S S AR R IV W | |Powers ..and functions i lofithe | Board of Studies. i 'J‘E." Lt i . \{|Mhe Finance l/Gommittee. i 31 (iii) experts in related field, having published— (a) at least one book in the relevant subject ; or (b) four research papers in indexed national or international journals. (3) The Chairperson shall be nominated by the members of the Board from among themselves. (4) The term of office of the members of the Board of Studies shall be three years from the date of nomination.
