'be necwsary to provide ; (c) q uaIifica ti dns, manher m of appoint a n t , powers and db ties, salaries, alIowances and other ,cbnditio~s of service af the oficers of the University ; (d) designation, classifica tion, manner of appointment, qualification, s a 1 a r i e s , allowances and other conditions of service ofteachers and other en~ployees of the University ; (e) constitution of a pension or provident fund and the establishment of an insurance scheme for the benefit OF officers, teachers and other employees of the University ; (f) institdon of degrees and diplomas ; (g) conferment of Honorary Degrees ; (h) establishment, amalgamation, subdivision and abolition of Faculties ; (i) establisl~ment of Departnlents of teacllirig in 'the Faculties ; ( j ) est.riblisIzment -and abali tion of hostels maintained by the University ; (Ir.) institi11 ion of fellowships, scholarships, medals and ,prizes ; '(I) admissioll ,of students to the University and tlleir enrolment and ,continuance as such ; ( i ~ r ) courses of study to be laid down .for- a11 degrees and diplomasaf #the -University .; ~(n) conditions under which stude.nts shall be admitted ,to ,degree, -diploma' or .other courses and ;to the .examinations of *the -University ,and shall 'be eligible for the award ,o'f degrees and diplomas ; (0) conditions of residence of the students of the University and the fees for residence in hostels inaintained by the University ; @) recognition and management of hostels not maintained by the University ; (q) Xees which may be charged by the Univer- . :sit7 for any-purpose ; .
