I n this Act, ur~less ills context otherwisc requires- U~hnationu ( I ) "Academic Coutlcil" nieans tll c ~cadenlic Council of the University; (2) "agriculture" inciudcs the bzsic and applied sciences dealing wit ti soil and wnter rnanagemcnt, production of crop, fish or livestock, veterinary science, home scincc, forestry anti such other ancillary suhjects ns are necesyary for the proper stildy and understanding of agiicultllral produc!ion and its development; (3) "Board" means the Board of Management of the University constit~lted under section 16; (4) "Extensiou" includ es all educational prpsrammes undertaken for the purpose of ascer- taming the problems of research in agriculture and allied subjects, d isserninating the results of research and providing training for the purpose of such dissemination;
