( 1) If any provision contained in any State Act is repugnant to any provision contained in this Act, the provision of this Act shall prevail over the provision contained in any such State Act and such, provisions of th.e State Act shall, to the extent of repugnancy, be void. (2) Notwithstandinig anything contrary contained in the Indian Tolls Act, 1851,, as amended from time to time,. the provisions of this Act 8 c shall have an overriding effect. •. 7 Protection of · 12.
