Where the State Government is satisfied that for a public purpose any land is required for the development of an existing or new highway, any other road, or part thereof, any pattern of land which will be required to develop new cities, industrial estate, tourist destination etc which can be monetized to enhance corpus or capital fund for development of state highway, it may, by notification, declare its intention to acquire such land and land acquisition shall be done by the State Government or the Authority in accordance with provisions and processes laid down in the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
