Substituted vide Orissa Act 12 of 1989 The Odisha Gazette EXTRAORDINARY PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. Date : 18th June I955 2 1[(bb) "Corporation" means a Corporation established by or under a Central Act or a State Act, and owned or controlled by the State Government]; (c) "Estate Officer" means an officer appointed as such by the State Government under Section 3; 1[(cc) "Improvement Trust and special Planning Authority", respectively mean an Improvement Trust and Special Planning Authority constituted under the Orissa Town Planning and Improvement Trust Act, 1956 (Orissa Act 10 of 1957); 3[(ccc) "Municipality" respectively mean a Municipal Corporation constituted under the Odisha Municipal Corporation Act, 2003 (Odisha Act 11 of 2003), Municipal Council and Notified Area Council constituted under Orissa Municipal Act 1950 (Orissa Act 23 of 1950);]] (d) "Premises" means any land or any building or part of a building and includes- (i) the garden, grounds and out-houses, if any appertaining to such building or part of a building; and (ii) any fittings affixed to such building or part of a building for the more beneficial enjoyment thereof; (e) "Prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act; 2[(f) "Public Premises" means any premises situated within the jurisdiction of a 3[Municipality] or within an area declared by the State Government to be an industrial estate and- (i) belong to or taken on lease by the State Government or the Board or by any Company, Corporation,3[Municipality], Improvement Trust, Special Planning Authority; or University; or (ii) requisitioned by the State Government]. (g) "Unauthorised Occupation" in relation to any public premises means the occupation by the person of the public premises without authority for such occupation and includes the continuance in occupation by any person of the public premises after the authority (whether by way of grant or any other mode of transfer) under which he was allowed to occupy the premises has expired or has been determined for any reason whatsoever; 4[(h) "University" means a University established by any Act of the State.]
