( I ) Every person ,detained in the civil prison a* mleasc in execution of a certificate may be so detained- from prison. (a) where the certificate. is for a demand of an amount exceeding two hundred and Hty rupees for a period of six months, and (b) in any other case for a period of six weeks : Provided. that he shall be released from such detention- (i) on the amount mentioned in the warrant for his detention being paid to the Officer-in-charge of the civil pnson ; or (ii) on the eertficate being otherwise fulIy satis- fied, or cancelled ; or. (iih:i) on the request of the person, if any, on whose requisition the certificate was filed or of the Collector ; or (iv) 0.a the omission by the person, if any, on ~'rhose requisition the certificate was filed to pay the subsistence allowance fixed by the Certiiicate mcer : Provided als,? that he shall not be released froa auch detention u ~ c l e r clause (ii) or clause (iii) without the order of the C e ~ c a t e Officer. (2) A ce~cate-&debtor released from detention under t h i s section shau not, merely by reason of his release, be discharged fi'om his debt ; but he shall not be liable to be reme,sted under the certificate in execution of which he was dktained in the civil prison.
