Tn this Act, unless the contmt othenvisc requires,- (a) "Fmchayat Samifi Act" means the Orispa Paochayat Samiti Act, 1959 ; ?$";;% (b) words and expressions used in this Act. but not d-ed he=in, have the same meaning as ass~gaed to them respectively under the Panebayat Samltf Act. 3.11) Notwithstandirg anything eonkind in the Panchayat Samiti Act, a Chairman, ViccCheirman or a member of a Panchayat Samiti, who bs been at any date after the 21st da ?f March, 1977 to fill Up a vacancy caused in the 2 office of the Chairman.
