(1) All persons shall be bound to comply with the reasonable directions bound lo given by a police officer in the discharge of his duties under this Act. comply with direction of police (2) Where any person resists, refuses or fails to comply with any olf~cer. direction referred,to in sub-section (I), a police onicer may, without prejudice to any other action that he may take under any other provision of this Act or any other law for the time being in force, remove such person and either produce him before the nearest Maglstrate or, in trivial cases, release him when the occasion which necessitated the removal has ceased to exist: Provided that the person so removed shall, in all cases, be produced before the nearest Magistrate or released, as the case may be, within a period of twenty-four hours of such removal.
