Any police offi'cer working in a Commissionerate, who vexatiously and unnecessarily delays the forwarding of any person arrested to a Magistrate - delays in forwarding or to any other authority to whom he is legally bound to forward Such person, a Person shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may arresled. extend to one year, or with fine which-may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.
