Regulations :- (1) Subject to the provisions of this Act and Statutes, the Academic Council may make Regulations providing for all or any of the following matters, namely :— (a) encouragement of co-operation and reciprocity among the Colleges of the concerned University; (b) admission of students to the University and prescribing the examinations to be recognized as equivalent to the examinations held by the University ; (c) University courses and examinations and the conditions subject to which students of Colleges shall be admitted to examinations for die degrees and diplomas of the University keeping in view the uniformity and parity in syllabi and academic standards up to the degree stage in all tire Universities; (d) granting of exemptions relating to the admission of students to examinations; (e) management of the libraries of the University; (f) constitution of departments of teaching; (g) welfare of students of the affiliated Institutions. (2) Regulations so made shall come into force on such date as the Academe Council may specify in that behalf ; Provided that the concerned Vice-Chancellor may, if in his opinion it is necessary so to do, give immediate effect to any such Regulation.
