Disqualification for membership :- No person shall be eligible for election or nomination as a member- (a) who is less than twenty-five years of age; (b) who is of unsound mind and stands so declared by a competent Court; (c) who is an employee of the Board; (d) who has applied for being adjudged an insolvent or is an undischarged insolvent; (e) who has been convicted of any offence under this Act; (f) who has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude which, in the opinion of the State Government, unfits him to hold office; (g) who has, on any previous occasion, been removed from office under Section 8; (h) whose name has been removed from the register ; or (i) who has directly or indirectly, any share or interest in any contract with, by or on behalf of the Board : Provided that the State Government may, in any particular case, remove this disqualification.
