For section 8 of the Act the following shall be substituted, namely :— 8,(1) Every Grama Panchayat in the Anchal shell be the Krusi Samiti forthe Grama . Panchayat area. These Krusi Samitis shall be the agencies through which the Committee shall ordinarily function. In areas where there are Krusi Samitis the Committee shall consult the Krusi Samitis concerned before taking any action under Chapters III, IV and VI. The function of the Krusi Samitis shall be such as may be prescribed. (2) In the exercise of its powers as a Krusi Samiti a Grama Panchayat shall not be liable to any of the obligations imposed by the Grama Panchayats Act but shall be controlled by the provisions of this Aot and roles thereunder”. 148 SCHEDULE III Moniorpatitims ExonupE ( See section 4 } J, Cuttack Municipality £, Puri Municipality
