Every polling officer, who except for some nr purpose authorised by law, communicates to any rson any information showing directly or in- directly for which candidate any voter has voted and every person who by improper means procures any such information, shall on conviction be punish- able with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three months or with fine or with both.
