(1) Every Grama Panchayat shall organise fire-fighting squads and for this purpose may compel — any able-bodied adult in the Grama Panchayat area to join the fire-fighting squad. (2) The State Government may make suitable — rules for the formation of fire-fighting squads and the powers to be exercised by the various persons comprising the squad for effective control of fires. (3) The Anchal Sasan may provide -suitable training facilities for training fire-fighting squads in the Anchal.
