(1) Standing crops and other ungathered beaoe ine produce may, notwithstanding the distraint, be dealt with, tended, and after notice to the distrainer be reaped, avd gathered by the owner of the crop. (2) If the owner of the crop neglects to tend, reap or gather the said crop or produce, the distrainer may do so at the expense of the owner. (3) The distrained property shall be placed in the charge of some person appointed by the distrainer for the purpose ; the person 8o appointed shall store the same in some convenient place in the neighbourhood at the expense of the owner.
