(1) The University shall constitute such number of Schools as may be prescribed by the Statutes, from time to time, and each of such Schools shall, subject to the control of the Academic Council, be responsible for the co-ordination of study and research in the branches coming under its purview. (2) Subject to the provisions of the Act, each School shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be prescribed by the Statutes. (3) There shall be a Dean for each School, who shall be The Board of Studies. Schools. 24 nominated by the Vice-Chancellor. (4) The Dean of each School shall be responsible for the due observance of the statutes and regulations and in guiding the research activities of the faculty.
