Grants of gratuities and allowances to establishments :– The municipality at a meeting may, from time to time, in accordance with regulation made under Section 84– (i) grant gratuities, allowances or annuities out of the Provident Fund or Annuity Fund to any of is officers or servants, as it may think fit; (ii) grant gratuity to any member of the family of any of its officers or servants who has died from diseases or injury contracted in the discharge of a duty which was attended with extraordinary bodily risk.
