Exercise and discharge of powers and duties by the Water-works Committee :– Without prejudice to any powers and duties that may be delegated to it under sub-section (2) of Section 58, the following powers and duties shall be exercised and discharged by the Water-works Committee- (a) the power to inspect the water-works and the wholes system of supply of piped water in the municipality and to depute any of the members of the said Committee to make such inspection; Explanation :– The power to inspect shall be deemed to include the power to enter into or on any house or land for the purpose of making the inspection, subject to the conditions and restrictions imposed by Section 414 on officers authorised thereunder; (b) the power to call from the municipal officers concerned any reports, papers and accounts relating to the water-works and the supply of piped water in the municipality including the collection of water-taxes therein; and
