Management of hospitals and dispensary by joint Committee :– (1) The State Government may by notification direct that the cost of establishment, maintenance and management of any hospital or dispensary (allopathic or otherwise) shall be entrusted to a joint Committee consisting of persons appointed by local authorities and shall specify in such notification the proportion of the cost of establishment and maintenance of the said hospital or dispensary to be provided by the local authorities concerned: Provided that no direction shall be made under this section except with the consent of the concerned local authorities. (2) Subject to the prescribed rules such Joint Committee shall, in respect of such hospital or dispensary, have the same powers and be subject to the same liabilities as are conferred and imposed by any law for the time being in force on the said local authorities.
