Prohibition against defiling water of tanks whether public or private :– It shall not be lawful for any person to– (a) bathe in or in any manner defile the water in any place set apart by the municipality or by the owner thereof for drinking purposes, or (b) deposit any offensive or deleterious matter in the dry bed of any , place set apart as aforesaid for drinking purposes; or (c) wash clothes in any place set apart as aforesaid for drinking or bathing; or (d) wash any animal or cooking utensils or wool, skins or other foul or offensive substance or deposit any offensive or deleterious matter in any place set apart as aforesaid for bathing or washing clothes; or (e) cause or suffer to drain into or upon any place set apart as aforesaid, for drinking, bathing or washing clothes, or cause or suffer anything to be brought therein to or do anything whereby the water may be fouled or corrupted.
