Municipality to provide water-supply, drainage and lighting :– Subject to the rules as may be prescribed and in accordance with sanction granted under such rules the municipality shall– (a) provide a sufficient supply of water for the domestic use of the inhabitants; (b) provide and maintain a sufficient system of drainage and conservancy; and (c) cause the public roads to be sufficiently lighted.
