Concession to the people who have contributed to the cost of execution on an irrigation work :– Where the people of a local area have contributed to the cost of construction of an irrigation work, a rebate in water- rate or cess may be allowed by the State Government for a specified number of years to the persons who had contributed towards such construction. The rebate shall be in the same ratio as the value of such contribution bears to the total cost of construction of such irrigation work. The procedure to be followed for fixation of the annual rate of such rebate and the number of years for which such rebate will continue to be allowed in any district or in any specified area shall be fixed in the prescribed manner and the same shall be final.
