(1) With effect from such date as the Government may, by notification, appoint in this behalf, there shall be established in the state of Odisha, a non- affiliating university by the name of the International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar. (2) The Institute shall be a body corporate by the name aforesaid with perpetual succession and a common seal with power, subject to the provisions of this Act to acquire and hold property, both movable and immovable and to contract, and shall, by the said name, be entitled to sue and be sued. (3)The headquarters of the Institute shall be at Bhubaneswar.
