Election Petitions :– No election of a person as a member of a Grama Panchayat or as a Sarpanch or Naib-Sarpanch held under this Act shall be called in question except by an election Petition presented in ac- cordance with the provisions of this Chapter. NOTES (i) Sec. 30 - Elections of Sarpanch - Challenge as to - Prayer for verification and recounting of ballot papers - Rejection of on ground of absence of specific instances and evasive stand taken by Petitioner there should not be reving enquiry - Was proper - No interference by High Court : AIR 2000 Ori. 156. (ii) Sec. 30 - Petition under, when maintainable, indicated. Held, Sec. 30 lays down that no election of a person as a member of a Grama Panchayat or as a Sarpanch or Naib-Sarpanch held under the Act shall be called in question except by an election Petition presented in accordance with the provisions of Chapter V of the Act : 90 (2000) CLT
