Appeal :– (1) Save as otherwise provided in this Act or the rules made thereunder, any person aggrieved by an order or direction made or issued by a Grama Panchayat under this Act or under any rule or bye-law may, within thirty days from the date of such direction or order, appeal to the Sub-divisional Officer, who may vary, set aside or confirm the said order or direction. (2) Any person aggrieved by an order made under Sub-Section (1) may, within thirty days from the date of the order, prefer a second appeal to the Collector, who may vary, set aside or confirm the said order. (3) The appellate authority may, if he thinks fit, extend the period allowed by Sub-Section (1) or (2), as the case may be, for filing an appeal. (4) The appellate authority shall have power to award costs at his discretion. (5) The orders passed in an appeal under Sub-Section (1) or (2), as the case may be, shall be final.
