Operation of other laws not barred :– Nothing in this Act shall be deemed to bar the prosecution of any person under any other law for any act or omission which constitutes a forest offence or from being liable under such other law to any highest punishment or penalty that is provided under this Act or the rules thereunder : Provided that no person shall be prosecuted and punished for the same offence more than once.
