Power to make rules for village forests :– (1) The State Government may make rules for regulating the management of village forests and for prescribing the conditions under which the community or group of communities for the benefit of which any such village forest is constituted may be provided with forest produce or with pasture, and their duties in respect of the protection and improvement of such forest. (2) The State Government may by such Rules, declare all or any of the provisions of Chapter II to be applicable to village forests.
