Compensation to the victims consuming spurious liquor, etc. :– Whoever, in contravention of the provisions of this Act or any other law for the time being in force, manufactures, transports, possesses or sells liquor or any other intoxicant, the consumption of which causes any injury to or death of any person, he shall be liable to pay due compensation, as may be decided by the Court trying the offence, to the person injured or to the legal heirs of the deceased, as the case may be.
